NEW COMPANY INVESTS IN THE FUTURE OF PROPERTY ABROAD

In the current volatile property market, canny investors are looking overseas and a new Belfast-based company, Goldcrest, is setting out to provide the best advice on where to buy and how to avoid the pitfalls when purchasing abroad.

The Directors of Anglo Turkish Holiday Homes Ltd have launched a new company branded as Goldcrest and expanded its remit to include an overseas estate agency with an experienced sales team working from new offices on the Upper Newtownards Road.

As well as selling property on their own development, Golden Sands Golf Village in Datca, Turkey, Goldcrest will be marketing holiday homes in Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Croatia, Portugal and Cyprus on established developments such as Polaris World and David Lloyd Olympia Village.

With financial and legal advice provided by experienced European-based practitioners as part of the service offered by Goldcrest, those who are keen to invest but are unsure of the processes of buying abroad should have their worries eased.

It is an exciting time for the company, as Goldcrest Director Aaron Gillies explains.

“Paradoxically when the property market starts to slow down and world property markets are uncertain, that is the time to invest, particularly for those who are looking for a long- term investment for rental or for use as a holiday home,” said Aaron.

“There are some fantastic properties available across Europe that represent great value in markets that are only just being discovered. As developers and sales agents, we at Goldcrest have a good all-round understanding of the needs of local investors buying in European markets. By working with experienced financial and legal teams, we can give customers piece of mind, knowing that every aspect of their purchase is taken care of.

“It is a very exciting time to be expanding our business and broadening our horizons. We have already had interest from those attending the first of a number of property expo events that we will be holding throughout April and May in the Waterfront Hall. While in many ways, it is an uncertain time for the property market, the industry is still working hard and I am confident of a bright future for Goldcrest,” he added.

Anyone interested in finding out more about buying property abroad is invited to attend the Goldcrest European property exhibitions running at the Waterfront Hall on 12th & 13th April, 26th & 27th April, 3rd & 4th May and 30th May - 1st June between 10.30am and 6pm.
